A Visit to Our School:

Harrison offers a unique scheduling model in that students are “dually-enrolled” with another high school. This can provide visitors with a distinct perspective of the cooperative facilitation necessary to make programs like this work.

Our Special Arts Programs:

The focus on the processes of artistic creation allows Harrison to stand out as an arts-specific school. The instructional objectives and the student expectations are aligned such that students learn about their respective artistic crafts in a controlled and academic setting. This teaches them about the entire process of creating art, not just about the end product itself. By doing this, Harrison graduates are prepared for post-secondary educational opportunities. These opportunities may be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an artistic field or in any other academic area. In either case, the four-year artistic curriculum at Harrison does an exceptional job of focusing instruction on the entire process of making art.
