and teachers, to develop their abilities to authentically integrate the arts
and other academic curricula in PK-12 as well as community educational settings. * “Artists” includes
musicians, dancers, dramatists, and visual artists.
The Goals of the Project:

of Arts Integration. Content may include, but

teaching strategies, cross-curricular teaching and
learning, FCAT connections, planning for success, classroom
management through the arts, age appropriate content,
arts integration idea exchange, roles and responsibilities
of collaborators, sharing of exemplary programs.
- Work with local resources in each of the 5 sites
to build local capacity for sustaining an arts integrated
approach to teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a means to follow-up with participants
in order to gauge the impact of this professional development
on changes in teaching practices.
