Building Learning Communities through the Arts

This NEA funded program, Building Learning Communities through the Arts, will expand and advance outcome-driven arts education programs for middle school children and their teachers in Palm Beach County through a new competitive funding program for cultural organizations. With more major cultural organizations than any other coastal community in the Southeast, this County has an opportunity to impact the number of students receiving quality arts education in the classroom by partnering cultural organizations with schools and artists in residence, and by enhancing the abilities of these organizations and teaching artists through training and evaluation. Incorporated in the model is professional development for educators, artists, cultural education leaders, and parents.
