100th Anniversary of Salvador Dali's BirthIn celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month and in conjunction with the First Lady's Arts Initiative: Arts for Life!, the work of Salvador Dalí was on display at the Florida Governor's Mansion September 15 - October 15, 2004. Salvador Dalí was a brilliant and innovative artist whose artwork touched the lives of many. Best known for his surrealist paintings, Dalí exhibits the profound influence the Hispanic heritage has had on American culture. His images are easily recognizable and often reprinted for commercial use in the United States and beyond. The artist was an understandable choice to celebrate during Hispanic Heritage Month.
