The Ballet

Off the Wall & Onto the Stage: Dancing the Art of Jonathan Green came from the collaboration efforts of Jonathan Green and William Starrett, Executive and Artistic Director of the Columbia City Ballet.  Off the Wall & Onto the Stage comprises a series of vignettes drawn directly from Green's paintings. The costumes, landscapes, and people in Jonathan's art works come to life in dance set to music rooted in the history of the region, including gospel, jazz, folk songs, and hymns.  Mrs. Bush served as one of the co-chairs of this production along with First Ladies Jenny Sanford of South Carolina and Mary Perdue of Georgia, and South Carolina Congressman, Jim Clyburn.

The world premier performances of Off the Wall & Onto the Stage: Dancing the Art of Jonathan Green are scheduled throughout the southeast including four performances in Florida.
