Connecting Florida Arts, Schools, and Communities

This project, a partnership between ACE/FAAE and VSA arts of Florida, is based on “Start with the Arts” (SWTA), an arts-integrated, early-childhood curriculum written and disseminated, at cost, through VSA National (www.vsarts.org).

   

These materials focus on four areas:

  • How I Go from Here to There
  • All About Me
  • Feeling Hot, Cold, and Wet
  • The World Around Me

The Florida adaptation of SWTA is comprised of arts-integrated curricular and supplemental materials for use by K-3 general classroom and arts teachers to foster skills development important for all children, particularly those having special needs. These materials include:
